This is the place to stay in Van Horn. There is ample parking and no need to walk up and down stairs. The room I had was very clean. The heat and A/C both worked very well. The TV had every channel you can think of and the WiFi was extremely fast, topping out at over 5 Mbps. The lady who is the manager was extremely polite. I had everything I needed for just over $30. The parking is well-lit and seemed very safe. There is even a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. I stopped at the Dollar General and picked up some food to keep in the fridge and heat up later. This motel is simply the best deal in Van Horn, hands down. There is also free breakfast featuring fresh coffee, danishes, and cereal. The outside area is well-kept. I wouldn't be able to get all of these amenities at another hotel or motel even at twice the price. You have to get on Broadway St. to find this motel as it is not directly off of the interstate. This motel gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and stay there.
The guy that checked me in was nice, but this place was a dive. It was unkept. The carpet was so filthy I wore my shoes inside. Yikes!!!
It's a cool place to stay. Plus you get to set the cook outs at night.
I agree 100% with the two previous reviews. I am a college student moving from Houston to LA with only what I could pack in my car. I was very apprehensive about spending the night anywhere, but as soon as I pulled into the parking lot I was greeted with a smile and felt very welcome. I can't stress how great the price is!!!! I've staid at hotels/motels/inns before and this place is by far the best for the money. Don't waste your time looking for anywhere else to stay, this place is it!!!!
