Whoever trains the staff at this Motel 6 needs to train all Motel 6 every where because they are ALWAYS the kindest and sweetest staff ever. It’s not my favorite Motel 6 because of its proximity to the RR tracks, but dang the staff just make you feel awesome no matter what time of day or night you roll in (or not roll in - the one time I was in an accident and they didn’t charge me for the night I didn’t show and were super sweet about it). If you need to stop in VH - this is your place. Motel 6/The Blackstone Group - get these people to do all your customer service training. They are first class!!!
We loved it. Rooms were clean and everything worked. The only down side is there isn't a laundromat in the area that may be something to look into.
Check in was friendly but bed was very uncomfortable. Also floor was dirty...had to put a towel down. Lot of dirt and other debris. Train nose an issue as I'm sure you've heard before. Window in bedroom not very secure.
No hot water in the morning, and other reviews about train noise are accurate. But otherwise the room was clean, comfortable, and convenient to the freeway.
Lamps missing bulbs, sink area light didn't work, curtain was ghetto rigged. Room was clearly newly renovated, which was a plus, but having worked in the mattress industry it was clear that they bought literally the cheapest mattresses they could possibly find. Would it have been a stretch to use fitted sheets, too? Aside from the negative, the staff in the evening and morning were both very pleasant. The desert in down the street is a mom and pop with a much higher rating and better mattresses, cleanliness is amazing, and costs less.
Just stayed in another motel 6 in Dallas area last night that was far nicer for less money.
